What is it?
Breast augmentation is accomplished by inserting a breast implant either behind the breast tissue or under the breast muscle to enlarge the breast. Breast implants do not have an indefinite life span, regardless of type, and may eventually require replacement surgery.

Dr. Iacono performs a procedure called transaxillary (scarless) sub-muscular augmentation. He also performs an open perioreolar inframammary procedure. The choice depends on the patient's anatomy and the breast problems that need to be corrected.

Dr. Iacono has been performing transaxilary breast augmentations since 1990 with over 2000 successful surgeries.

What does it help & not help?

Usually helps with:

  • body contour - enlarging the breast
  • Correction of breasts after pregnancy
  • balance

How long will it last?
Breast implants do not have an indefinite life span, regardless of type, and may eventually require replacement surgery.
