What is it?
Mastopexy, or breast lift, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the remaining tissue and nipples. Mammograms and a routine breast exam are required prior to surgery.

Dr. Iacono uses the widely preferred techniques including Vertical Scar Mastopexy and Wise Pattern Mastopexy. Most often, a mastopexy includes the insert of a small saline implant in the submuscular pocket of the breast. Less frequently it is placed under the compressed gland. This is the preferred technique for reshaping and lifting of the breast. The results are better and longer lasting.

What does it help & not help?

Usually helps with:

  • sagging breasts
  • shapeless breasts

How long will it last?
The duration of results depends on a variety of factors including the age, weight, and overall health of the patient.
