What is it?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure for changing the appearance and structure of the nose. Incisions are made within the nose or in an inconspicuous part of the outer nose. Some techniques use cartilage grafts.

Dr. Iacono relies almost exclusively on the closed
(inter-nal) method.  Since 1985 he has performed between 50 and 100 rhinoplasties annually.

What does it help & not help?

Usually helps:

  • size of the nose
  • shape of the nose
  • span of nostrils
  • angle between nose and upper lip
  • breathing problems

Will not help:

  • some wrinkles
  • aging process

How long will it last?
Rhinoplasty usually lasts for an entire lifetime. Older patients with extreme laxity and elastic damage may require a secondary procedure within 1-2 years for optimal improvement.

Surgical Considerations
Surgery is performed in an accredited outpatient surgery center or hospital.
